Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F15

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F15

The F15 error code on a Dacor refrigerator indicates a failure of the condenser fan. The condenser fan is responsible for circulating air over the condenser coils, which helps to remove heat from the refrigerant. When the condenser fan fails, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Check the condenser fan motor. The condenser fan motor is a small electric motor that drives the fan blades. To check the motor, disconnect the power to the refrigerator and then unplug the fan motor. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the terminals of the motor. The resistance should be within the specifications listed in the refrigerator’s service manual. If the resistance is out of specification, replace the motor.
  2. Check the condenser fan blades. The condenser fan blades should be free of debris and should not be bent or damaged. If the blades are damaged, replace them.
  3. Check the condenser fan wiring. The condenser fan wiring should be free of damage and should be properly connected. If the wiring is damaged, repair or replace it.

If you are comfortable working with electrical components, you can replace the condenser fan motor yourself:

  1. Disconnect the power to the refrigerator.
  2. Unplug the fan motor.
  3. Remove the screws that secure the fan motor to the condenser coils.
  4. Remove the old fan motor.
  5. Install the new fan motor.
  6. Secure the new fan motor with the screws.
  7. Plug in the fan motor.
  8. Restore power to the refrigerator.
